  Any Year 9 or 10 students wishing to play cricket in Nelson on 5 November, please meet Mr Clark in Room 49 at the beginning of interval on Friday. It is a one-off fun day. We can have more than one team, so if you are keen to play some cricket, be at the meeting!

All NZQA Logins KIA
  Any student who has a Digital Exam at the end of the year, please make sure you can log into NZQA with your username and password.
If you are struggling to do this, or have never logged into NZQA before, you must have this sorted before you leave on study leave on the 31 October. Please see Mrs Kircher immediately.

 
 
All Sister City Exchange 2025 applications open DIVs
  Applications are invited from students who will be in years nine to 12 in 2025 to take part in the renewed annual Student Sister City Exchange to Tendo and Otari in Japan.

This is the first sister city exchange post-Covid. Any practising and registered pre-school, primary or secondary teacher is also invited to apply to accompany the students.

The three-week exchange will take place over the July school holiday period but leaving a few days before Term Two ends and arriving home a few days into Term Three. Alternative timing is the September school holiday period but this will be discussed with the selected group. It’s estimated that the exchange will cost no less than $5,000, however, some funding assistance from the Sister City budget will be made. Fundraising is also encouraged.

Written applications must be received by Friday 15 November 2024 and state:

· Why you want to go on the exchange

· What you hope to gain from it

· How you can best represent Marlborough

Students do not have to be studying Japanese but if selected must be willing to learn some basic words and phrases.

Anne from Marlb touch is in school in Tuesday at inteval rm 34, to make sure teams know what is happening and to sign any extras up.

 
 
Seniors Studylink Presentation Thursday 24th 11am Room 13 TINs
  We have a Studylink presentation for students going on to tertiary training from Naomi from Ministry of Social Development.
Come along to the Pavilion at 11am on Thursday. (Note New Venue)
We also have an additional session where parents are also encouraged to attend at 5.30pm in the Pavilion.

Te Kura Summer School - Te Kura Raumati

We would like to remind schools about one of our key programmes that can support NCEA ākonga near the end of the school year. 
Registrations for our popular Summer School will be opening on
18 Whiringa-ā-rangi | 18 November 2024.
Ākonga can register themselves via our website.
Summer School courses are delivered online from December to February, so with access to a computer and the internet, ākonga can learn anywhere and anytime. We offer a range of internal standards at NCEA Levels 1, 2 and 3, and our qualified kaiako will be available online to support ākonga.
